Advertising & affiliate disclosures

Revenue should support the product without changing the answer. This page explains how compensation, affiliate links and sponsorships are handled.

Editorial independence comes first

Points & Status may receive compensation from approved partners when a visitor uses certain clearly identified links. Compensation does not determine card rankings, calculator results, valuations, eligibility assumptions, benefit values or editorial conclusions.

If a recommended card or service has no commercial relationship, it remains eligible to appear wherever the underlying methodology places it.

How compensated links are labeled

When an approved compensated link is active, the call to action is accompanied by a nearby disclosure. Affiliate links use a sponsored-link relationship attribute and open separately from the core planning experience.

Availability of a compensated link does not mean Points & Status guarantees an offer, approval, price or benefit. The provider's current terms control.

Sponsored content

Paid sponsorships, if used, are labeled as sponsored. Sponsored placement is visually distinct from independent rankings and tool output. A sponsorship does not buy a higher modeled score or a more favorable editorial conclusion.

Privacy and measurement

Partner-click measurement is designed to avoid sending private wallet balances, trip details, certificate inventories or benefit-usage data to advertisers. When enabled, a click event can record the offer, placement, page path and an anonymous session identifier so performance can be measured.

Advertisers do not receive access to a visitor's Points & Status workspace through this site.

Corrections and questions

Commercial relationships and program terms can change. If a disclosure, link or offer appears inaccurate, please use the contact and corrections page. For our research standards, see Methods & disclosures.
